Petfiliate Cookie Policy
Effective date: September 17, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how P51 Media Ventures Ltd., doing business as Petfiliate (“Petfiliate”, “we” or “us”), uses cookies and similar technologies on petfiliate.com and through our affiliate tracking links. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your browser or device. Similar technologies include pixels (tiny images that record a page view), tags, local storage and link parameters such as click IDs. We call all of these “cookies” in this policy. First-party cookies are set by the site you are visiting. Third-party cookies are set by another company, such as an analytics provider or a Brand’s affiliate network.
2. How affiliate tracking works
When you click a Petfiliate tracking link on a Partner’s website, video or social post:
- the link passes briefly through our tracking system, which records the click, including a click ID, the date and time, the referring page, and your browser, device and IP address;
- you are sent on to the Brand’s website with an identifier attached to the link; and
- the Brand or its affiliate network, such as impact.com, may set its own cookie so that if you buy within the Brand’s attribution window, the sale is credited to Petfiliate and the right Partner.
This is how Partners get paid for the customers they refer. Affiliate tracking does not change the price you pay. We do not receive your name, address or payment details from Brands; we receive an order reference and value so we can calculate commissions. Cookies set on a Brand’s website are controlled by that Brand and covered by its own cookie and privacy policies.
3. Cookies we use
We do not use cookies to collect sensitive information, and we do not use cookies on petfiliate.com to track you across unrelated websites for other companies’ advertising.
4. Your consent
When you first visit petfiliate.com, a cookie banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies, or choose by category. You can change your choices at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer of the site.
Europe and the UK: we set non-essential cookies only after you opt in.
Canada: we rely on your consent, which you can give or withdraw through the banner and Cookie Settings.
United States: you can opt out of analytics, affiliate tracking and marketing cookies through Cookie Settings. We honour Global Privacy Control browser signals as an opt-out where the law requires.
If you reject affiliate tracking cookies on our site, that choice cannot reach cookies set on a Brand’s own website. Manage those through the Brand’s cookie settings or your browser.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies, and many offer private browsing modes that clear cookies when you close them. Look for these settings under Privacy or Security in Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, such as Partner logins, from working. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada (youradchoices.ca), the Digital Advertising Alliance in the U.S. (optout.aboutads.info) and, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the tools we use or when the law changes. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date and, where required, ask for your consent again.

Questions about cookies or tracking can be sent to our Privacy Officer at legal@petfiliate.com, or by mail to Petfiliate (P51 Media Ventures Ltd.), 1383 West 8th Avenue, Vancouver, British Columbia V6H 3W4, Canada.
